A businessman, Henry Ho imports consumer items for local retail.
From 1999 to 2005, he also operated a lifestyle retail outlet in East Timor and commuted regularly between Singapore and East Timor.
Prior to his setting his business in East Timor, he was running a retail chain of 5 garment stores in Singapore from 1977 - 1998. His foray into the garment business began with one retail store in 1972.
Henry did his private "O" Levels and due to family circumstances, did not manage to further his studies. To support his family, he had to juggle between family, work and studies during his early business career.
Despite his busy schedule, Henry always made time to be involved in grassroots work in the Workers' Party and has been active in several projects the last few years.
Henry joined the WP because he felt that the Party has a reputable history and he shares the vision and aspirations of its current dynamic leadership. He says, "The government claims to understand the people but they fall short of actually comprehending their hardship. As such, I feel that the time is ripe to do something and be concerned about country and citizenry." Henry's mission in life is to "do something meaningful for the people".
Henry is married with 2 children.
